MZPM strives to bring medicines to the poor who live in rural areas where they don’t have access to medical care. Some places around the world, those who live in the woods in deep rural areas don’t have access to medicines, even though they would have access, the cost would have been too high to procure. We, as a non-profit group, tend to bring medicines to those groups of people. As Paul Farmer, a Harvard graduate who has worked in Haiti on Health issues, says “ It is clear that the pharmaceutical industry is not, by any stretch of the imagination, doing enough to ensure that the poor have access to adequate medical care.”
